Good morning, everyone. As we head through the mid-morning hours, temperatures are currently sitting in the upper 50s across the region. Dewpoints are in the mid-40s, making for a beautiful start to the day with plenty of sunshine.
Today will be an easy forecast. That nearly nonexistent cloud cover won’t be changing anytime soon, and we’ll continue our stretch of sunshine. High temperatures this afternoon will reach the low to mid-70s, a few degrees cooler than yesterday, thanks to high pressure to our north bringing in a northeasterly wind.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear as we head into tomorrow. Overnight lows will fall to around 50 degrees, which is a bit warmer than the past few nights as a warming trend begins to build into the region. Tomorrow will be a copy-and-paste forecast, just a few degrees warmer. High pressure will settle into the Great Lakes and help push highs into the upper 70s.
This overall pattern continues through much of the workweek. By Friday, temperatures will climb into the mid-80s, and as low pressure approaches from the west, moisture will begin increasing across the region. That could lead to an isolated pop-up shower or storm Friday afternoon and evening. By Saturday, that low-pressure system looks to drag more widespread rain chances into the area and carry them through the weekend.
